Operation
The following sections describe the operation of the WooCommerce Shipping Plugin for Myfreight/Myparcel from the perspective of the online store customer and the online store administrator.
The plugin was designed for simplicity of operation and seamless integration with both the WooCommerce shipping sub-system and the Myfreight/Myparcel shipping automation system.
The plugin introduces a small number of new shipping fields into the standard WooCommerce layout. These fields are required to ensure that shipping localities are correct, a necessity for real-time pricing, and appropriate data is gathered to allow a wide variety of shipping carrier services to be utilised. Additionally, links into the Myfreight/Myparcel system provide integrated label and shipment management.
